
This week, Global Currents host Sarwar Kashmeri speaks with Peter Mans, president and CEO of Subaru of Claremont, NH. Mans has been in the auto business for 23 years, and his dealership employs 25 people. He tells Global Currents that it is not consumer demand that is hurting his industry, but a lack of credit. “We’ve lost five or six of our creditors in the past few months,” Mans says, despite an “adequate” number of consumers willing to buy new cars.
